  • This is where we store Holmes Lab documents and shared files which we want to be accessible on our local computers (not Amarel)

Amarel

  • Rutgers high-performance compute cluster
  • Follow tutorials to access and use:
  • Make sure you’re added to the Holmes Lab group, g_ah1491_1. Check this by logging into amarel and running $groups in the terminal to see all your groups. (It should return: netID gaussian g_ah1491_1 with your netID). If you don’t have g_ah1491_1, ask the lab manager to email help@oarc.edu, cc’ing Avram, to ask for you to be added.

Slack

  • holmeslab-yale.slack.com
  • Connect with your personal email/existing slack account if you’d like, then you’ll have access if you leave Rutgers + can maintain access with existing workspaces

    • Get added by asking lab manager

Other miscellaneous used by some lab members:

  • Zotero or EndNote as a reference manager for saving, annotating and organizing research articles
  • Canva for creating visualizations, flyers, posters, etc
  • Notion for creating your own custom dashboard to store documents, tasks, projects, SOPs, etc
  • Litmaps and Connected Papers for visualizing citation networks
